Maggie and Sam's Wedding

Happy one-month-and-one-day-iversary, Sam and Maggie!  In honor of this special day, I figured I would finish my final post about Maggie and Sam's wedding.  The bridesmaids met at 9 am at this cute little house across the street from Eastside, the church the bride and groom were getting married in.  We spent the morning getting our hair done, doing our makeup, eating, and hanging out.  With all of the babies in the house, it was not without a few stressful moments, but we made it.  The little girls were such troopers, though.

Maggie was pretty relaxed all morning.  She drank coffee, played with the babies, and read her Bible.  I think everything hit her when we got into our dresses and she got into hers.  We made a circle and each girl said a prayer over Maggie and Sam's marriage.  There was seriously no dry eye in the room.  I think even the photographer may have gotten a little teary.

One of my favorite pictures from that day. My sweet niece Laney.
So blessed to have this girl as my sis-in-love

Laney loved Jennifer that day. It's definitely a mommy thing ;)

After the prayer, we went over to the church.  We didn't have to wait long before the ceremony started. The music played and all of the bridesmaids walked in, then they shut the sanctuary doors.  One of my favorite things about weddings is watching the groom's face when he first sees his bride.  It was going to be even more emotional since Maggie and Sam didn't do a first look.  The doors opened.  The spotlight hit Maggie.  Tears started streaming down Sam's face.  I got choked up seeing the emotion and love he felt towards his bride, walking in white, towards him and the rest of their lives.  What an unforgettable moment for all of us there.  The rest of the wedding ceremony was as beautiful as that moment.  Their personal vows were filled with humor, love, and Braves references from both the bride and the groom.  Finally, they were husband and wife.

The reception was held at South Brunswick Island Center.  Maggie and her friends and family did a wonderful job decorating the place.  We had some amazing food, socialized with family and friends, and just celebrated Maggie and Sam's marriage.

Maggie and Sam, there is no doubt in my mind that your marriage is ordained by God.  You two can do so much for His kingdom as a team. I cannot wait to see what is in store for your future.  Love you both so much!

With my love.

Last Day as Fiancés

The day before Sam and Maggie's wedding had finally arrived.  I'm sure it couldn't come soon enough for them.  Maggie wanted to thank all of the ladies that had been involved in her engagement process so she hosted a bridesmaid luncheon.  All of the details were so sweet.  I loved the lanterns and sparking drinks with red and white striped straws.  Not to mention the silver glitter ribbon.  So Maggie.

While we were there, she gave us our amazing bridesmaids gifts.  We each got a red velour zip hoodie with our monogram embroidered in white (to be worn while getting ready on the wedding day), a cute monogram bag, and some bling earrings.  She also gave the flower girls some adorable white bloomers with their red monogram and a headband.

We had the rehearsal that night followed by the rehearsal dinner.  The rehearsal dinner was fantastic.  Yogi and Gail have a knack for picking out amazing rehearsal dinner locations and food. It was great to see some of Brett's friends and catch up with them.  Seeing Brett's extended family is always a plus too.  I have been so blessed to marry into a family that is welcoming and warm, and one that I fit into easily.

After the rehearsal dinner, Brett and I went over to Ms. Susie's to hang out with the Sellers, Peanut, and Sam.  These guys are a hoot to be around.  Thankful we could fill Ms. Susie's house with joy and laughter.

Stay tuned for pictures from Sam and Maggie's wedding day!

A Bachlorette and Babies

The week before Maggie and Sam's wedding (December 28th), we celebrated Maggie getting married.  Brett and I drove down to Myrtle Beach Saturday morning, as Sam was having his bachelor weekend as well.  Because we live almost 5 hours away and we were in football season, I had only been able to go to one of Maggie's showers.  I was excited to be a part of her bachelorette weekend.

The other bridesmaids did a great job coordinating everything.  The theme was pink, black, and glitter.  Laura had made a shadow box with all the invitations from Maggie's showers that was put on display (and there were a lot of invitations), and Danette had glasses made for us with our initials and "Bridesmaid"  or "Bride" on the bottom.  Such a cute touch and memento from the weekend.

One unique thing about this bachelorette party were all of the babies!! Laney, Lilly, and Isabel were at all of the events that night, and one more baby was at the dinner.  It was quite an entertaining night.

Beautiful Laney
Sis-in-love and niece.

We had dinner at Midtown Bistro with all of the bridesmaids and some other guests  Gail (my mother-in-love) and all of the females in Maggie's family joined us.  Some of the comments made by the other ladies were hilarious.  I won't disclose what any of them are though :)  Maggie left with quite the stash.

After dinner, we went back to the condo and played some games.  Laura went above and beyond planning all of the games that night.  The babies were up until 1 am, and I went to bed around 2 am.  Definitely too old for that kind of thing.  Anyway, there was a ton of laughs, which is always good for the heart. Stay tuned for pictures from Maggie and Sam's wedding weekend!
