2013 in Review

2013 has been quite a year for us.  Brett started a new job as special teams coordinator and running back coach at Gardner-Webb University.  We bought our first home together.  We traveled to Montana to see my brother.  Our first niece was born.  Phew, all of those things happened before the end of March!

This year was the year of weddings for us too. My cousin Colleen married Adrian in June; my college roommate Michelle married longtime love Andrew in July; my bestie Megan married my cousin Kyle in November; and this past weekend, Maggie and Sam were hitched.  My brother Chris also proposed to Kelci in October (they're getting married in 4 days!)

Through all of the busyness, we have clearly seen and felt God's hand and provision over all of the details.  If 2013 is any indication, 2014 will be a great year!

Happy Birthday Mags!

Today is the last time I get to say it's my future sister-in-love Maggie's birthday!  In 17 days, she will officially be my sister-in-love, even though she really has been ever since the first time we met.  I have so enjoyed seeing Maggie and Sam's relationship progress since then.  There is so much laughter in their relationship, something that keeps me in stitches too when I'm around them.  I am thrilled that Mags gets to work in her dream profession.  I know she excels at making brides feel beautiful on their special day.  God gave her that passion, and I'm grateful that she gets to live it out every time she walks into work.

Maggie, our family would be incomplete without you.  If the two years that we've known each other is any indication, we have much hilarity to look forward to.  Love you sweet sister!  Happy 21st birthday!
